EFCC arrests City Boy Movement leader Halimat Tejuosho

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, the suspended South-West Zonal Coordinator of the women’s wing of the City Boy Movement. EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale confirmed that Tejuosho was taken into custody on September 8.

The arrest follows a declaration by the commission in April that Tejuosho was wanted in connection with an ongoing investigation into alleged fraud. The investigation centers on allegations of obtaining money by false pretence, specifically involving an appointment and contract scam. It is alleged that Tejuosho used forged documents and purported appointment letters to convince individuals that she could secure federal government appointments and lucrative contracts for them.

Tejuosho, who is also the founder of Haleems Integrated Services Limited, had previously been questioned in June 2025. Following the fraud allegations, the City Boy Movement suspended her from her position to protect the organization’s credibility and ensure the investigation proceeded without interference.
