Efeler Mayor Anıl Yetişkin addresses Nevzat Biçer Hall eviction

Efeler Mayor Anıl Yetişkin has addressed the ongoing legal and administrative dispute regarding the eviction of the Nevzat Biçer Marriage and Conference Hall. The İzmir Regional Administrative Court recently overturned a previous stay of execution, reinstating the eviction process. Consequently, the Efeler District Governorate has issued an official notification requiring the eviction to be completed within 15 days.

Yetişkin stated that the municipality is pursuing several legal avenues, including a lawsuit for the cancellation and registration of the title deed. He noted that the municipality is relying on finalized court decisions from 2005 regarding adjacent parcels, which ruled that foundation registration could not be established in those areas. The municipality hopes the court will apply similar reasoning to the current case to overturn the existing registration.
