Efeler Municipality implements new local initiatives
In the Efeler district of Aydın, Turkey, several new local developments have been introduced to support students and local commerce. A new local food delivery application, Sepetmatik, founded by Ferhat Kırelli, has launched a “suspended meal” system. This feature allows users to donate meals to university students, who can claim them by uploading student documentation via e-Devlet. In its first two weeks, the system has reportedly supported 78 students while providing a lower-commission alternative for local tradespeople.
Separately, the Efeler Municipality has officially designated the Efekent Indoor Marketplace as a second-hand market. Following a unanimous decision by the municipal council and requests from citizens and merchants, the area will host second-hand sales every Saturday. This move relocates the market from its previous temporary site to a more secure and suitable indoor environment.
