Efes Selçuk Barista Course Concludes with 24 Trainees
The Efes Selçuk Municipality partnered with the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality's Vocational Factory Branch to run a 20‑hour Barista Course in the garden of the Efes Selçuk Library and Social Activity Center. The mobile education vehicle hosted 24 participants who received both theoretical and practical instruction on coffee cultivation, bean varieties, brewing methods and preparation of various coffee drinks. Organisers reported strong interest, and participants praised the training provided by experienced instructors from the İzmir municipal vocational unit. Vedat Yolcu, responsible for the Social Activity Center, said the centre has become “like an academy,” highlighting the popularity of other courses such as robotics coding and English language classes. Mayor Filiz Ceritoğlu Sengel’s policy of promoting lifelong learning was cited as a driving force behind the programme.
