Effat University earns first NECHE accreditation in Saudi Arabia

Effat University has become the first university in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region to receive institutional accreditation from the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE). This achievement also makes Effat the fifth institution in the Middle East to earn recognition from the US-based nonprofit accreditor, which is recognized by the US Department of Education.

The accreditation process involved an evaluation of the university against rigorous standards, including governance, academic programs, faculty, student learning and success, institutional resources, and continuous improvement.

Dr. Haifa Reda Jamalallail, president of Effat University, stated that the accreditation is the result of years of dedicated work and a commitment to excellence. She noted that the milestone serves as an inspiration for the university to continue innovating and providing impactful educational experiences for its students and community.
