Efficient air conditioning heating tips to reduce costs
To optimize energy efficiency and reduce costs when using inverter air conditioning for heating, experts suggest maintaining moderate temperatures rather than setting them to extremes. For most households, a setting between 19 and 21 degrees Celsius is recommended as an effective starting point.
Setting the temperature too high, such as 25 or 28 degrees Celsius, does not make a room heat up faster. Instead, it causes the unit to work longer to reach the target, increasing energy consumption. A larger gap between indoor and outdoor temperatures also leads to higher heat loss through walls and windows, requiring more energy to compensate.
Because inverter units are designed to adjust their power output once a target temperature is reached, it is often more efficient to maintain a steady temperature rather than frequently turning the unit on and off. However, for extended absences like a full workday or a weekend, turning the unit off may be more economical, particularly in poorly insulated buildings.
