Efficient Power Conversion begins mass production of integrated GaN stages

Efficient Power Conversion (EPC) has commenced mass production of its 100 V integrated Gallium Nitride (GaN) power-stage IC family, which includes the EPC23108, EPC23109, EPC23110, and EPC23111 models. These monolithic ePower Stage ICs are designed for high-performance motion control and integrate high-side and low-side eGaN FETs, gate drivers, and level-shifting circuitry into a compact QFN package.

The devices support up to 100 V operation with current ratings of 20 A and 35 A, aiming to provide high efficiency and power density for applications such as humanoid robots, drones, industrial motor drives, and medical equipment. The product line features protection mechanisms like fast fault shutdown and safe gate control during power loss.

To support development, EPC is also offering three-phase BLDC motor drive evaluation boards. The new IC family is available through global distributors Digi-Key and Mouser.
