EFL Championship club size rankings and league updates

Content creators Callum Fowler and Tom Garratt, hosts of the Pyramid Podcast, have released a ranking of all 24 EFL Championship clubs based on perceived stature and size. Using five categories ranging from ‘tiny’ to ‘massive’, the duo identified Bristol City, Millwall, Swansea City, Lincoln City, and Wrexham as the smallest clubs in the division for the 2026/27 campaign.

In league developments, Middlesbrough currently leads the standings, driven by the performance of goal-scorer Willy Lankshear. Other teams positioned in the top eight include Swansea, West Ham, Wolves, West Bromwich Albion, Southampton, Birmingham City, and QPR. At the bottom of the table, Burnley, Derby County, and Preston North End occupy the lowest positions.

Separately, Wrexham has reportedly been handed a $100,000 fine following the selection of two ineligible players.
