EFNI 2026 Forum addresses European geopolitics and economic strategy

The 15th edition of the European Forum of New Ideas (EFNI 2026), organized by Konfederacja Lewiatan, BusinessEurope, and the city of Sopot, brought together representatives from business, public administration, and science to discuss future strategic directions.

The forum was structured around four thematic pillars: Our New World, Our New Europe, Our New Poland, and Our New Human. Key geopolitical discussions focused on Europe's role amidst competition between the USA, China, and Russia, as well as the rising influence of India and the Global South. The future of Ukraine and its reconstruction through European business involvement was also a central topic.

Other major areas of debate included European economic competitiveness, defense financing, energy transformation through renewable sources, artificial intelligence, and technological sovereignty. The event concluded with the presentation of recommendations intended for the government.
