Efor Holding discusses wind energy financing with KfW IPEX-Bank
Efor Holding recently hosted a delegation from KfW IPEX-Bank to discuss financing for two major wind energy projects in Turkey. The discussions focused on the current status and future roadmap for the YEKA 4 Yellice RES in Sivas, which has a capacity of 160 MW and is planned for operation in November 2026, and the YEKA 5 Balıkesir-2 RES in Balıkesir, which has a capacity of 120 MW and is targeted for completion by the end of 2027.
The meeting included KfW IPEX-Bank Board Member Aida Welker, representatives from KfW IPEX-Bank Turkey, and executives from EFR Enerji. Together, these projects represent a total installed capacity of 280 MW and are expected to prevent approximately 482,200 tons of CO2 equivalent greenhouse gas emissions annually.
Efor Holding aims to expand its renewable energy portfolio from its current level of over 700 MW to 3,000 MW by 2030. The company intends to achieve this growth through long-term financing and strategic collaborations with international financial institutions.
