Efraín Juárez expresses desire to return to Pumas
Efraín Juárez has expressed his willingness to return to Pumas in the future, describing the club as ‘his house’ and stating that he still feels a sense of belonging there. This follows his departure from the Mexican team after leading them to the Clausura 2026 Liga MX final, where they finished as runners-up to Cruz Azul.
Juárez is transitioning to a new professional stage in Europe, having accepted a position to manage Győri ETO FC in Hungary. During his tenure with Pumas, he managed approximately 55 to 60 official matches, achieving a win rate of nearly 50% and leading the team to the top of the general table during the regular season.
Reports have also surfaced regarding alleged threats directed at Juárez by certain media figures following his exit from the club. These communications reportedly involved warnings regarding information access and challenges to his professional credibility.
