Efteling to reopen renovated Raveleijn area in December 2026

Efteling will reopen its completely renovated Raveleijn themed area on December 1, 2026. The project represents a total investment of 20 million euros, with 10 million euros dedicated to a new park show titled ‘Raveleijn: Strijd om de stad’ (Battle for the City).

The new show takes place ten years after the defeat of the dragon Draconicon, set against the backdrop of a wedding between characters Thomas and Samira that is interrupted by a dark force. Additionally, 5 million euros has been allocated to the renovation of the themed area and another 5 million euros to a new attraction called Ravenring.

Developed by the Dutch attraction manufacturer Vekoma, Ravenring features eighteen winged vehicles that carry 36 visitors per ride. The attraction is designed to integrate with the lore of the area, where guests discover which of the five magical elements best suits them. The renovation also includes updated dining facilities at the De Verslaeghen Draek inn and a new souvenir shop.
