Efthymios Koulouris joins Wieczysta Kraków

Greek striker Efthymios Koulouris has joined Wieczysta Kraków following his departure from the Saudi Arabian club Al-Ula. The 30-year-old forward signed a contract through June 30, 2028, with an option for an additional season.

Koulouris chose the Krakow-based project despite significant interest from several Polish clubs, including Widzew Łódź, Jagiellonia Białystok, Pogoń Szczecin, and Korona Kielce. He cited the club's ambitions, squad quality, and the specific project being built in Krakow as primary factors in his decision, noting that the choice was difficult due to the high quality of the competing teams.

A former top scorer in the Ekstraklasa during his time with Pogoń Szczecin, the 18-time Greek international returns to European football after a year in Saudi Arabia. Koulouris indicated that while his professional life in Saudi Arabia was satisfactory, personal life outside the pitch was more challenging.
