Egbin Power launches 11th annual scholarship programme

Egbin Power has launched the 11th edition of its annual scholarship programme, aimed at providing free, quality education to outstanding primary and secondary school students within its host communities. The 2026 edition began with a pre-test exercise involving more than 250 students.

Operating under the company’s Personal Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, the programme aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4 regarding inclusive and equitable quality education. In addition to financial support, the initiative will include an education fair, boot camps, mentorship sessions, and playgroup activities to foster academic performance, leadership, and essential life skills.

Mokhtar Bounour, Chief Executive Officer of Egbin Power, stated that the company views education as a vital catalyst for sustainable community development and a deliberate investment in future leaders.
