EGEHID to be honored at Expo Constitución 2026 in San Cristóbal

The Chamber of Commerce and Production of San Cristóbal has announced that the 26th edition of the Expo Constitución 2026 multisectoral fair will be dedicated to the Dominican Hydroelectric Generation Company (EGEHID). This dedication recognizes the institution's contributions to the sustainable development of San Cristóbal and the Dominican Republic under the leadership of engineer Rafael Salazar.

Víctor Ramón Montás, president of the Chamber, highlighted Salazar's support for the local business and commercial sectors. The event, themed “Las nuevas formas de hacer negocio 2.0” (New ways of doing business 2.0), will take place from November 19 to 22 at the Main Auditorium of the Loyola Polytechnic Institute.

New features for this edition include the “San Cristóbal Siembra Futuro” project, aimed at boosting the provincial agricultural sector, and a culinary attraction involving the creation of the country's largest leaf-wrapped pastry. Admission to the fair is free for the public.
