Eger, Hungary lifts one road closure and plans additional traffic restrictions
The city of Eger announced that the traffic restriction at the intersection of Régi Cifrakapu Road and Tetemvár Street will be lifted next week, ending the current closure. However, other sections of the road network will see new temporary closures and detours as the third phase of the renovation proceeds.
Work scheduled for July 20‑24 includes asphalt laying at the OBI/KFC junction, closure of the Vallon Street and Cifrakapu junction, and the removal of curbs and drainage works. Additional temporary bus stops will be set up, and several other streets such as Dr. Nagy János, Deák Ferenc, and Szvorényi will experience partial restrictions until the end of November 2026.
