Eger, Hungary: Potential bear tracks and livestock losses reported

Tracks of a potential bear have been discovered near the Galagonyás-dűlő area close to Eger, Hungary. Local authorities reported that a large predator has also killed two sheep in the vicinity in recent days.

Experts from the Bükki National Park Directorate are currently examining the tracks to confirm if they belong to a bear. Until the investigation is complete, officials have advised hikers, cyclists, and dog walkers to exercise extreme caution. Local Mayor Ákos Vágner noted that while the presence of a bear is not yet officially confirmed, precautionary measures are necessary due to the area's proximity to the city and frequent public use.
