Eglantina Zingg awarded Fundación Starlite Solidarity Prize

Eglantina Zingg, founder of the non-profit organization Goleadoras, has been awarded the 2026 Fundación Starlite Solidarity Award in the Social Transformation category. The recognition was presented during the XVII Starlite Occident Gala held in Marbella, an event presided over by Sandra García-Sanjuán and Antonio Banderas.

The award honors Zingg’s work in empowering new generations, specifically using football as a tool to transform the lives of thousands of girls and young women in vulnerable contexts. Marking the 16th anniversary of Goleadoras, the initiative has provided opportunities to approximately 10,000 girls across seven countries in Latin America, Asia, and Europe.

During her acceptance speech, Zingg emphasized that the organization focuses on developing socio-emotional skills, leadership, and discipline through sport. She dedicated the award to Venezuela and to families affected by recent earthquakes.
