Egnatia and Dinamo eliminated in dramatic extra-time losses
Albanian clubs Egnatia and Dinamo Tirana have been eliminated from their respective UEFA European qualifying matches following dramatic losses in extra time.
Egnatia fell short in their Europa League play-off against Norway’s Lillestrom. After a 1-1 draw in regulation time, Lillestrom secured a 2-1 victory with a goal from Thomas Olsen in the 94th minute of extra time. Despite the loss, Egnatia has secured a place in the UEFA Conference League group stage.
Dinamo Tirana’s European campaign ended in Cyprus during their Conference League play-off against Pafos.
