Ego Divided releases second melodic death metal album ‘The Abyss’

Palermo-based melodic death metal band Ego Divided has released their second studio album, titled ‘The Abyss’. The nine-track record explores philosophical themes, drawing inspiration from the works of Nietzsche and Schopenhauer.

The album utilizes concepts such as the ‘veil of Maya’ to examine the contradictions of the individual and society, addressing topics like media-driven blindness, repetitive violence, and historical tragedies. Recorded, mixed, and mastered at Rock Zone Studio in Palermo, the work combines sharp riffs and tight rhythms with melodic elements.
