Egon Rónai joins Network4 Media Group after leaving ATV

Television presenter Egon Rónai is leaving ATV after 15 years to join the Network4 Media Group. The move was officially confirmed by both the presenter and the media company.

Rónai clarified on social media that his departure is not due to financial reasons, lack of editorial freedom, or political motives, dismissing recent speculation. He will complete his current commitments at ATV during the remainder of the year and will begin his new role at Network4 in 2026.

Network4 Media Group CEO András Borsány-Gyenes stated that Rónai’s arrival is a significant step in expanding the company’s content, particularly in strengthening its public affairs programming alongside its existing sports and film offerings. The media group, which is currently the third-largest commercial television group in Hungary, includes channels such as TV4, Story4, and Arena4, as well as the Network4 streaming platform.
