Egon Rónai to join Network4 Media Group after ATV departure

Television presenter Egon Rónai is leaving ATV after 16 years to join the Network4 Media Group. Rónai, who has been a prominent figure at ATV hosting political and public affairs programs, will remain with his current employer until the end of the year before transitioning to his new role.

András Borsány-Gyenes, CEO of Network4 Media Group, noted that the move is a continuation of a professional relationship spanning nearly 25 years. He highlighted that Rónai previously worked with the group during the launch of Sport1, which helped accelerate his television career.

At Network4, Rónai is expected to focus primarily on public affairs programming, though his role may expand to include sports broadcasting or podcasts. The media group, currently the third largest player in the television market, aims to leverage the existing professional bond and mutual trust between the presenter and the leadership.
