Egypt Advances to Quarterfinals After 3-0 Win Over Morocco at U18 African Volleyball Championship

The under‑18 African volleyball championship was held in Alexandria, Egypt from 20 to 30 July 2026, featuring 14 national teams. In one group‑stage match, Cameroon defeated Morocco 3 – 1, taking the lead in the fourth set after a strong start.

In a separate group match, Egypt beat Morocco in straight sets (25‑14, 25‑15, 25‑17) to secure a place in the quarter‑finals. Egypt will meet Algeria, the third‑placed team from Group 2, with the winner set to face the semi‑final winner of the Tunisia‑Morocco encounter.

The tournament is overseen by the African Volleyball Confederation and hosted at the Bayonirz club in Alexandria, under the patronage of Egypt’s Minister of Youth and Sports Joher Nabil and Governor Ayman Attia.
