Egypt and France discuss strategic partnership and regional stability

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot held a telephone call to discuss strengthening the strategic partnership between Egypt and France. The ministers focused on enhancing bilateral economic cooperation and encouraging French companies to utilize opportunities within the Egyptian market.

The discussion also addressed rapid regional developments. Abdelatty emphasized the necessity of diplomatic and political solutions to contain rising tensions and prevent further instability in the region. Key topics included the importance of returning to the negotiating track between the United States and Iran to reduce tensions.

Regarding the Palestinian issue, Abdelatty stressed the need to implement the first and second phases of the U.S. peace plan to end the conflict, while calling for Israel to fulfill its obligations and cease settlement expansion. Additionally, both ministers underscored the importance of supporting stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity in Syria.
