Egypt and Fujairah advance Alamein oil and gas project
Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly met with Mohamed Saeed Al Dhanhani, Director of the Emiri Diwan of Fujairah, to discuss the implementation of the ‘Fujairah Alamein’ oil and gas project. Following the establishment of the Fujairah Alamein Oil and Gas Company, the meeting focused on the necessary steps to complete the project and accelerate its operational phases.
A key component of the initiative is the creation of a special free zone in Alamein New City under the name of the Fujairah Alamein Oil and Gas Company. This zone will facilitate the storage and trading of crude oil and petroleum products. The project aims to leverage Egypt’s infrastructure, specifically the Al Hamra Petroleum Port, to enhance its role as a regional energy hub through cooperation with the Fujairah Oil and Gas Corporation.
Egyptian officials, including Petroleum Minister Karim Badawi, emphasized the strategic importance of the project, which seeks to replicate the successful model currently operating in the Emirate of Fujairah. The collaboration involves transferring expertise and implementing advanced technologies to meet international standards in energy logistics.
