Egypt and San Donato Group discuss New Heliopolis Hospital development

Egypt and Italy’s San Donato Group are collaborating to develop and operate the New Heliopolis Hospital. The project aims to modernize healthcare infrastructure and improve the efficiency and quality of medical services in Egypt.

Egyptian Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar met with Verdiana Morando, Director of Continuing Education at the San Donato Group, to review progress on the facility, which is affiliated with Egypt’s General Authority for Health Insurance. Discussions focused on upgrading the hospital’s infrastructure, expanding specialized medical services, and identifying optimal operating models to maximize existing resources.

The partnership intends to integrate advanced healthcare technology, cutting-edge medical equipment, and digital health solutions such as telemedicine. Additionally, the collaboration includes training programs for Egyptian healthcare professionals facilitated by Italian experts to ensure skill transfer and high-quality service standards.
