Egypt Announces 2026 Diploma and Technical Institute Entrance Exams

The Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt announced that entrance examinations for diploma and technical institute programs will begin on Saturday, 1 August 2026. The exams cover the faculties of engineering, computing and artificial intelligence, commerce, agriculture and law for the 2026/2027 academic year.

Eligible candidates are graduates of three‑year technical schools and five‑year technical institutes who have earned at least 75 % of total marks. Applicants may take the exams only once within a two‑year window (the graduation year or the following year). Registration closes five days before the start of the exam period, and candidates may submit applications in Arabic or English.

Examination venues are assigned to several public universities: engineering and computing tests will be held at Cairo University, Zagazig University, Kafr Sheikh University and Assiut University; commerce exams will take place at Cairo, Alexandria, Tanta, Zagazig, Benha, Capital and Assiut universities; agriculture assessments will be conducted at Cairo University's Faculty of Agriculture and Ain Shams University's Faculty of Agriculture; law candidates will sit their exams at Ain Shams University's Faculty of Law. Successful students will be admitted directly to the first year of the chosen faculty.
