Egypt Announces 2026‑27 STEM School Admission Dates, Fees and 260‑Score Minimum
The Egyptian Ministry of Education opened electronic applications for the 2026‑27 academic year of the elite STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) schools. Applications are accepted until Sunday 9 August, with entrance exams scheduled for 16‑20 August.
Annual tuition varies by school type: around 10,000 EGP for public Arabic schools, up to 12,000 EGP for public language schools, 35,000 EGP for public international schools, and 50,000 EGP for private international schools. Students must also pay a 20 % laptop insurance fee. Additional financial rules require payment of fees within two weeks of result announcement, otherwise the student is transferred to the regular public system.
Eligibility criteria include Egyptian nationality, age not exceeding 18 years on 1 October 2026, completion of basic education in 2025‑26, a minimum total score of 260 out of 280 (≈92.8 %), and a satisfactory medical examination. All STEM schools operate on a full‑boarding basis, and transfers to other STEM schools are not permitted after placement, though students may move to regular public schools at any time by settling outstanding fees.
