Egypt chocolate exports reach $251 million in 2025

Egypt’s chocolate and cocoa-based food exports reached approximately $251 million in 2025, marking a 64% increase in value compared to 2024. According to the Food Export Council, the country exported roughly 33,000 tonnes of these products, positioning Egypt as the 10th largest global exporter in this category with a 3% share of total global exports.

Saudi Arabia served as the primary destination for these exports, accounting for $87 million, or roughly 35% of the total value. Other significant markets included the United Arab Emirates at $37 million (15%), Kuwait at $18 million (7%), the United Kingdom at $15 million (6%), and Qatar at $12 million (5%). Together, these five markets represented 67.3% of Egypt’s total chocolate and cocoa-based food exports for the year.
