Egypt coordinates return of citizen detained after crossing border into Israel

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced it is working to repatriate an Egyptian citizen who crossed the border fence into Israeli-controlled territory. The Ministry stated that the individual has been missing from his home since July and is described as “mentally unstable.”

The Israeli military confirmed the arrest of the Egyptian national near Nitzana after military surveillance points detected him crossing the border fence. Egyptian authorities are currently coordinating with relevant agencies to facilitate his return to Egypt.
