Egypt deepens diplomatic and tourism ties with Greece and Bosnia‑Herzegovina

Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelati held a telephone conversation with Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis on 27 July. The ministers reviewed the growing strategic partnership between the two nations, discussed regional developments, and reaffirmed cooperation in political, economic and investment fields, including Greece’s support for Egypt within EU institutions and the three‑way dialogue involving Cyprus.

On 26 July, Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Shrif Fathi met the Deputy Prime Minister of Bosnia‑Herzegovina (who also oversees foreign trade and tourism) in Cairo. The two officials examined ways to expand bilateral tourism, promote their participation in Expo 2027 in Belgrade, increase direct flight connections, and develop joint training and capacity‑building programmes in the tourism sector.
