Egypt deploys free medical and veterinary convoys in Luxor and Aswan

Government-led medical and veterinary convoys have been deployed in Egypt to provide free services to remote and underserved rural areas.

In Luxor, the Veterinary Medicine Directorate conducted a free veterinary convoy in the village of Naj’a Umm Gharab in the Al-Toud center. The initiative provided examinations, ultrasound scans, and parasite treatments for 341 head of livestock, including cattle, buffalo, sheep, goats, and donkeys. The mission also included distributing free veterinary medicines and educating farmers on disease prevention and safe slaughtering methods.

In Aswan, the Directorate of Health Affairs organized a comprehensive medical convoy serving the villages of New Kalabsha and Bashayer Al-Khair. Approximately 500 citizens received free medical examinations across various specialties, including internal medicine, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, dentistry, general surgery, and pediatrics. The convoy provided free X-rays, laboratory tests, and necessary medications to alleviate the burden on residents in these remote locations.
