Egypt deploys medical and veterinary convoys to rural areas

Authorities in Egypt are expanding free medical and veterinary services through mobile convoys targeting rural and underserved areas.

In Dakahlia, the Veterinary Directorate organized a comprehensive convoy in Damira village. The initiative provided parasite control and treatments for 600 animals, including cattle, buffalo, sheep, goats, and donkeys, as well as vaccinations for pets. Additionally, services were extended to 4,900 birds, including poultry and ducks, alongside ultrasound pregnancy diagnostics and veterinary guidance for local farmers.

In Qalyubia, Governor Hossam Abdel Fattah inspected a medical convoy in Kafr El-Shahawi village. The convoy offered free consultations and medications across multiple specialties, including internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, dermatology, and ophthalmology. The governor noted that the health directorate organizes approximately eight medical convoys per month to ensure healthcare reaches citizens in need without financial burden.
