Egypt Deputy PM reviews restructuring of national press institutions

Egypt's Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Dr. Hussein Issa, held meetings at the National Press Authority to oversee restructuring plans for national press institutions. The discussions focused on enhancing financial sustainability and achieving fiscal balance for Dar Al-Maaref, the National Distribution Company, and the Middle East News Agency.

The meetings addressed operational and developmental challenges, aiming to improve administrative and editorial performance while diversifying revenue sources and maximizing asset utilization. Key financial matters discussed included settling historical debts related to taxes and insurance, as well as the completion of rescheduling all existing bank loans for these institutions to alleviate financial burdens and support future investment.
