Egypt draws 1-1 with Brazil in pre‑World Cup friendly in Ohio

Egypt and Brazil played a friendly match at Huntington Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio, as part of their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Brazil opened the scoring early in the first half, with a goal in the eighth minute. Egypt responded quickly, with striker Mustafa Ziko netting the equaliser in the 11th minute, securing a 1‑1 draw.

The Egyptian Football Association praised Ziko’s performance, calling his start in his first two international matches “ideal.” The match serves as a final rehearsal for Egypt before the World Cup, which will be hosted jointly by the United States, Canada and Mexico.
