Egypt expands international educational cooperation with France and Japan

Egypt's Minister of Education and Technical Education, Mohamed Abdel Latif, is pursuing several international partnerships to reform the national education system. In discussions with French Ambassador Eric Chevalier, the ministry focused on enhancing technical education and applied technology schools. The cooperation aims to align vocational training with international standards, particularly in strategic sectors such as agriculture, hospitality, and hotel management.

Additionally, Minister Abdel Latif met with the Japanese Ambassador to Egypt to discuss expanding the Egyptian-Japanese schools model and implementing ‘Tokkatsu’ activities to develop students' social and personal skills. The minister emphasized that the national education strategy is designed to be sustainable and independent of individual leadership changes, focusing on measurable performance indicators such as student attendance and curriculum relevance to the labor market.
