Egypt education officials inspect schools for new academic year

Educational officials across Egypt have conducted extensive field inspections to monitor the start of the 2026/2027 academic year. Minister of Education and Technical Education Mohamed Abdel Latif visited schools in Gharbia governorate to oversee classroom readiness, the implementation of new curricula, and the distribution of textbooks.

In other regions, local education directors carried out similar oversight duties. In Giza, officials inspected 11 schools across four administrative districts to ensure student safety and the availability of educational materials. In South Sinai, authorities focused on welcoming kindergarten and primary students with activities to ease their transition. Other inspections took place in Assiut, Dakahlia, Qena, and Minya, where officials monitored student attendance, teacher placement, and the enforcement of school discipline regulations.

The inspections aimed to ensure a stable and organized start to the year, with a focus on providing interactive learning environments and addressing any immediate logistical challenges in schools.
