Egyptian gold prices dip slightly as 21‑carat falls to 5,835‑5,860 EGP per gram

Gold prices in Egypt showed modest movement over two consecutive trading days in early July 2026. On Monday, 6 July, the widely‑traded 21‑carat gold fell to about 5,835 EGP per gram (sell) and 5,765 EGP (buy). By Tuesday, 7 July, the price recovered to around 5,860 EGP (sell) and 5,800 EGP (buy). The premium 24‑carat gold hovered near 6,668‑6,697 EGP per gram, while 18‑carat stayed around 5,001‑5,023 EGP per gram. The international ounce price rose marginally from $4,141.54 to $4,164.51 on the two days. Local merchants and investors closely track these changes, as gold remains a key savings and investment vehicle in Egypt.
