Egypt Health Ministry Hotline 105 Handles Over 38,000 Calls with 100% Completion
Egypt's Ministry of Health and Population reported that its unified citizen service line, Hotline 105, received 38,496 calls in the first half of 2026. All calls were processed with a 100% completion rate, reflecting the system's stability and the rapid response of staff.
A semi‑annual audit of a random 5% sample showed a 94% satisfaction score, with 1,139 callers expressing full satisfaction and 290 unreachable. June 2026 recorded the highest monthly volume at 7,869 calls, followed by April with 7,324. General health inquiries led with 8,392 calls (21.8% of total), followed by service requests (5,732 calls, 14.89%), treatment complaints (4,609 calls, 11.97%) and health‑promotion queries (4,408 calls, 11.45%). Inquiries to health units and centers rose from 144 in January to 353 in June, and calls related to specialized services such as emergencies, medical committees and licensing made up about 17% of all calls. Officials said the data underscores the hotline’s role in monitoring, public awareness and effective communication with citizens.
