Egypt includes Mohammad al-Durra image in national curriculum
Egypt has included the image of Mohammad al-Durra, a Palestinian child killed in 2000, in its national Baccalaureate educational curriculum.
Jamal al-Durra, the father of the late child, expressed that the decision carries deep humanitarian significance and serves as a tribute to all Palestinian children and martyrs. He noted that while the move brings a mix of pride and pain, it ensures the Palestinian cause remains present in the consciousness of new generations.
Al-Durra extended his gratitude to the Egyptian leadership, the people, and the Ministry of Education for this initiative. He urged Egyptian students to view the image not merely as a historical scene, but as a representation of a human story and the lived experiences of those involved.
