Egypt Industry Minister discusses Beyti expansion and new investment tracks

Egyptian Industry Minister Khaled Hashem met with representatives from Beyti Egypt, a subsidiary of Almarai, to discuss the company’s current investments and future expansion plans. Beyti Egypt has invested over 7 billion EGP in the country and plans to inject an additional 6 billion EGP to increase production capacity and meet local and export demand. The company currently operates 34 production lines and exports to over 45 countries.

In a separate meeting, Minister Hashem met with the Egyptian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EPEA) to discuss mobilizing private capital for the manufacturing sector. The Ministry is exploring four cooperation tracks: establishing industrial investment funds, introducing an ‘Industrial Franchise’ model to connect large manufacturers with startups, supporting distressed factories through investor partnerships, and providing financing for small and medium-sized enterprises.
