Egypt introduces new e-visa procedures for travelers

Egypt has introduced a new e-visa system, effective as of September 1, to simplify the entry process for international travelers. This digital system allows visitors to apply for visas online through the official government website, eliminating the need to visit an embassy or consulate in person.

The e-visa is generally valid for stays of 30 days and is available for various purposes, including tourism, business, and transit. Travelers are advised to submit their applications at least one week before departure to ensure timely processing. Required documentation typically includes a passport valid for at least six months beyond the arrival date, a recent photograph, and a credit card for fee payment.
