Egypt launches training grant to boost export readiness

Egypt’s Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade has launched a training grant designed to enhance the competitiveness and export readiness of domestic companies. Through a cooperation protocol between the Foreign Trade Training Centre and the Export Development Fund, the initiative aims to help businesses meet the requirements of international markets.

The grant specifically targets companies within the food, medical, and spinning and textile industries. Under the agreement, the Export Development Fund will cover 75% of the total cost of the training programs provided by the center, with trainees contributing the remaining 25%.

Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid stated that improving the capabilities of Egyptian companies and their employees is a central pillar of the ministry’s strategy to increase national exports and maximize global market opportunities. The project has already commenced, with initial training sessions involving 42 participants.
