Egypt lists four state-owned firms, including tourism and oil companies, on Cairo bourse

The Egyptian Ministry of Finance approved the temporary listing of four state‑owned companies on the Egyptian Exchange as part of the government’s asset‑sale program. The companies are the tourism development firm Al‑Ma'moura, owned by the Tourism and Hotels Holding, and three oil‑related firms: Engineering for Petroleum Industries and Chemical Engineering (Enppi), Egyptian Linear Alkylbenzene Production (Elab), and Petroleum Services Company. Officials said the listings are intended to improve corporate governance, attract private capital and meet International Monetary Fund conditions, unlocking about $1.6 billion of loan financing. The move is also presented as a step toward raising private‑sector participation in the economy to over 65 % by 2030.
