Egypt Ministry of Education sets October exam dates

The Egyptian Ministry of Education and Technical Education has scheduled the first monthly exams for the 2026/2027 academic year to take place from October 18 to October 22, 2026. These assessments are part of a continuous evaluation system designed to monitor student progress periodically.

For the first time, the new assessment system will include students in the first and second grades of primary school. For these younger students, the total grade will be composed of the end-of-term exam (60 points), homework (5 points), classwork notebooks (5 points), weekly assessments (10 points), monthly tests (15 points), and attendance and behavior (5 points).

Secondary school students, including those in the Egyptian Baccalaureate system, will also participate. For high school levels, exams will consist of 50% essay questions and 50% multiple-choice questions. The exams will cover only the curriculum taught from the beginning of the academic year up to the testing period.
