Egypt Ministry of Education sets textbook prices for private and national schools

The Egyptian Ministry of Education and Technical Education has issued urgent instructions to educational directorates regarding the pricing and distribution of textbooks for private (Arabic, Language, and International), Japanese, and National schools.

To ensure administrative efficiency and prevent the distribution of counterfeit materials, the Ministry mandated that schools must follow specific procedures to request textbook quantities based on student enrollment. For the 2026/2027 academic year, the Ministry set the following textbook package prices per semester:

• Kindergarten: 300 EGP • Grades 1 to 3 (Primary): 400 EGP • Grades 4 to 6 (Primary): 550 EGP • Grades 1 to 3 (Preparatory): 550 EGP

The Ministry clarified that these prices apply equally to both the first and second semesters.
