Egyptian Ministry of Education Delays 2026 Secondary School Results Announcement

Spokesperson Shadi Zlata of Egypt’s Ministry of Education said there is no set date for publishing the 2026 secondary school (Thanaweya Amma) results, rejecting rumors that the grades will be released in hours. The ministry is completing final grading and review, and expects to announce the results later this week.

In a meeting with President Abdel Fattah el‑Sisi, the minister reviewed ongoing curriculum revisions in partnership with the International Baccalaureate and detailed German‑Egyptian cooperation. Memoranda of intent were signed with Germany’s Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development and the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) to develop 38 German‑Egyptian technical schools and award German‑accredited certificates.

The ministry also clarified that no list of top‑performing students will be released before the official results, outlining the procedure for selecting the ten highest‑scoring students in each stream (Science, Mathematics, Literature). Additionally, the education ministry announced a postponement of the new secondary system to ensure full readiness and highlighted the introduction of a digital‑skills subject and expanded career‑guidance programs.
