Egypt Ministry of Higher Education opens second phase of university admissions

The Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the start of the second phase of the 2026 electronic university coordination process. Registration for high school students to select available colleges and institutes will run for five days, from Wednesday, August 12, to Sunday, August 16.

Approximately 266,931 students are eligible for this phase. Minimum score indicators have been set for different tracks: the new scientific system requires at least 68.75%, the new literary system 64.06%, the old scientific system 68.29%, and the old literary system 58.53%.

Following the results of the first and second phases, a “reduction of alienation” period will be available. This process allows students nominated to colleges outside their primary geographical area to apply for transfers to colleges within their local zone, subject to regulations set by the Supreme Council of Universities. All registration and transfer procedures are conducted electronically via the official coordination website.
