Egypt Ministry of Housing warns against unverified social media advertisements

The Egyptian Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities has issued a warning to citizens and social media users regarding unverified advertisements, offers, and information circulating online. The ministry cautioned against following unauthenticated data concerning projects, services, or decisions related to its various departments.

Official information regarding housing projects and services is only released through the ministry or its specialized affiliated bodies via approved official channels. These entities include the New Urban Communities Authority, the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund, the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation, and the General Authority for Tourism Development, among others.

The ministry emphasized that sharing unverified information without checking the source, publication date, and issuing authority can lead to the spread of inaccurate or incomplete data, causing confusion among the public. Citizens are urged to verify all information with the relevant competent authorities or contact the ministry directly to obtain updated and approved details.
