Egypt Ministry of Social Solidarity handles 154 humanitarian cases

Egypt's Ministry of Social Solidarity rapid intervention teams addressed 154 humanitarian cases across several provinces over the course of one week. Following directives from Minister Maya Morsy, field teams conducted studies and provided necessary support in Ismailia, Alexandria, Giza, Suez, Gharbia, Port Said, Damietta, and Sohag.

Specific interventions included providing temporary housing and supplies for a homeless family in Ismailia, relocating a homeless woman to a care home in Alexandria, and assisting a child left alone on the streets of Giza by coordinating with child protection services. In Suez and Port Said, teams assisted homeless individuals with health issues or elderly citizens by transferring them to appropriate care facilities. Additionally, teams in Gharbia coordinated medical transport for a citizen in declining health, and in Damietta, legal and care procedures were initiated for an unaccompanied child found in a public area.
